Surveys (1 of 7)

Knowing what your Web users want is a key to the success of your Web site. News media, government agencies, politicians, non-government organizations (NGOs), and other coastal stakeholders need to be able to find the information they are looking for. The best way to discover if your site is providing the correct information is to conduct a survey. The basic steps of any type of survey are listed below.

The Steps in a Survey Project

  1. Establish the goals of the project (What do you want to learn?).
  2. Determine your sample (Whom will you interview?).
  3. Choose interviewing methodology (How will you interview?).
  4. Create your questionnaire (What will you ask?).
  5. Pre-test the questionnaire, if practical.
  6. Conduct interviews and enter data.
  7. Analyze the data.
