Hazards Forum The Hazards Forum was established in 1989 by the four major engineering institutions, the Institutions of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Chemical Engineers. The forum was set up because of concern about several major disasters, both technological and natural.

Maui Shoreline Change Web site
This site provides resources on historical shoreline changes for the Hawaiian areas of Kihei and Kaanapali, Maui, as well as Kailua Bay, Oahu. Maps, posters, textual descriptions, and geographic information system (GIS) data layers are available to study local shoreline changes over many decades. Measurements of these changes were obtained from survey-quality aerial photographs and historical NOAA Ocean Service topographical survey charts, known as T-sheets.
