Project Information

The SEA-GEOFISH Database tool was developed to allow stakeholders to analyze and visualize large-scale fishery monitoring and assessment data, such as the Marine Resource Monitoring, Assessment and Prediction (MARMAP) program and related projects, in an effort to foster more informed decision making for the management of marine resources.

Development of the database and associated GIS was supported by a Marine Fisheries Initiative(MARFIN) Grant [NA17FF2874 (G. Sedberry, Principal Investigator)] and the continuing fishery-independent survey is being conducted by SCDNR under MARMAP grant from NOAA Fisheries (Grant 50WCNF106007-L0003; P. Harris, Principal Investigator).
