Objectives
- Provide technical assistance in developing scope of work (SOW) and request for proposals (RFP) for study.
- Advertise, select, and complete local study of priority resources.
- Provide Guam with economic values of its priority coastal and coral reef resources.
Description
Provide support to Guam to develop and implement a local economic valuation
study of top-priority coral and coastal resources. Funding under this project
will be awarded directly to Guam through the NOAA coral reef management grant
program to fund a study. The SOW and RFP for this study will be developed via
technical assistance in the form of a contractor who will travel to Guam and perform
an in-depth assessment of the topics to be investigated. Guam will be responsible
for the contract process, from the issuance of the request for proposals to the
administration of the contract. Technical assistance will also be provided as
needed throughout the contract.
Milestones
1st Quarter: Technical assistance to Guam to develop RFP and SOW.
2nd Quarter: Grant funds applied for by Guam.
3rd Quarter: Grant funds awarded.
4th Quarter: RFP advertised and consultant contracted.
Outputs
- Local RFP and SOW for valuation study.
- Publishable study on economic values of priority resources.
