Use it to Develop a Website for Your Community

The HEAT software template is an effective way to deliver information about coastal hazards to the public. Users enter an address into a search box to access the hazard-related information for that location.

The State of Hawaii offers a good example of HEAT in action. The state uses the site to educate the public about tsunami risk and includes interactive evacuation maps and preparedness information from local authorities.

For Additional Information

Visit the Tsunami Hazard Information Service website to see how HEAT is applied in Hawaii.

To receive a copy of the HEAT template, contact the NOAA Pacific Services Center at nos.csc.psc@noaa.gov or (808) 532-3200.
