Decision Support Tools

The NOAA Pacific Services Center (PSC) collaborates with partners in the Pacific develop and demonstrate decision support tools for coastal management. These tools range from GIS-based software applications to guidebooks, and all are transferable among different geographies throughout the region.

  The Digital Coast is a complete information delivery system that serves data, tools, training, and examples of how data have been turned into useful information. Several different types of tools are available that are relevant to issues in the Pacific Region, including GIS-based spatial decision-support tools, data access and visualization tools, informational tools, and resource guides.
