Land Cover and Change Analysis Project File
Two pull-down menus have been added to the View and Layout document types. These menus are: DATASETS, which provides links to data sets that have been thematically grouped into views, and MAPS, which provides access to "ready to print" map layouts. A metadata button, symbolized by an M icon, has been added to the View documents, to provide easy access to a Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC)-compliant metadata record for the active themes in the view. The other button, a T allows you to view statistics tables for the Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) data.
This Arcview project file contains eight different Views, each of which covers one of the following South Carolina counties: Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Georgetown, Horry, and Jasper. Each view contains the following themes:
| Name of Theme (Metadata Record) | Description |
| Land Cover Change Analysis Data 1990 to 1995 | These data were analyzed according to the Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) protocol to determine changes in land cover for the period between 1990 to 1995. |
| Land Cover Data 1995 | These data were analyzed according to the Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) protocol to determine 1995 land cover. |
| Land Cover Data 1990 | These data were analyzed according to the Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) protocol to determine 1990 land cover. |
| Street File | These data were generated from 1994 Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Reference System (TIGER)/Line files. |
| Line Hydrography | These data were generated from 1994 TIGER/Line files. |
| Polygon Hydrography | These data were generated from 1994 TIGER/Line files. |

In order to make this project file compatible across various platforms,
a system check script is run. Once the ArcView version number is determined, the appropriate project file is opened from within the data directory.
