Abstract:
This dataset is a shapefile of the South Carolina Beach Monitoring Stations on Isle of Palms. The points representing the stations were created by inputing survey coordinate data for each point. These stations are used in monitoring beach erosion on Isle of Palms. They occur on every barrier island along the coast, spaced about 2000 feet apart.
Purpose:
This data set was created to have digital point coverage of all beach monitoring stations on Isle of Palms, SC. Attribute data associated with this coverage contains information about the characteristics of sections of the beachfront.
