Chart Viewer Extension for ArcView 3.x

Downloading Instructions

The Chart Viewer Extension is available for three common platforms. Please select the appropriate platform to download the extension. The extension contains three files (readme.txt, chartview.dll, and chartview.avx) and is bundled in a ZIP archive for simplified downloading. Freeware and shareware programs for ZIP archives are available for both UNIX and PC.

Installation Instructions for the Chart Viewer Extension

To use the Chart Viewer Extension for ArcView® 3.x, first copy the extension (chartview.avx) to the extension directory under the ArcView program directory. On a PC this is typically c:\esri\av_gis30\arcview\ext32 and in a UNIX environment this is typically $AVHOME/ext. Move the DLL (chartview.dll) to the BIN directory under the ArcView parent directory. On a PC this is typically c:\esri\av_gis30\arcview\bin32 and in a UNIX environment this is typically $AVHOME/bin. Once the extension and DLL are in the correct directory, start ArcView and select Extensions from the File pulldown menu and select Chart Viewer from the extension list. A new button with a chart icon will be added to the View GUI. Use this button to add a digital chart in BSB format.
