Each year the NOAA Coastal Services Center is involved in approximately 100 projects for the coastal resource management community. While all of the
projects have the same underlying theme — bringing data, information, and technology to the coastal manager — the large number of projects can make it difficult to get a good understanding of what the Center is all about.
The Center has therefore prepared several publications to help interested parties get an overview of the organization and the work that occurs there. In addition to this material, the staff gladly will provide you with information about specific projects.
Center Web Page
While a web page is never "finished," this electronic publication does provide a glimpse into the Center. The site changes almost weekly as new products and projects are made available. In addition to technical data and information, general information such as a staff directory, directions to the Center, and the mission statement are included. The address is www.csc.noaa.gov.
1998 Project Overview
This annual report outlines Center operations and summarizes Center projects. Projects that are nationwide in scope are in one section; the following section profiles projects on a state-by-state basis. A list of products you can order is also in this document.
