About These Reports

As part of an effort to preserve historical documents and increase accessibility to hurricane information, the NOAA Coastal Services Center was asked by the Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to develop a mechanism to present and distribute documents that pertain to hurricane planning, storm effects and impacts, education, and evacuation studies. This site will provide coastal zone managers, emergency managers, researchers, and the public with information that may assist in planning for and mitigating against the next tropical cyclone. For current and future efforts pertaining to hurricane evacuation and planning activities, refer to the contact information below.
