Puerto Rico Funding Opportunities
- The Beldon Fund's mission is to build a national consensus to achieve
and sustain a healthy planet by supporting effective, nonprofit advocacy organizations.
The Fund's key
states program provides funds for Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Florida,
and North Carolina.
- The Coastal Restoration
and Enhancement through Science and Technology program (CREST) was established
in 2001 as an alliance of eleven academic institutions within southern Louisiana
and Mississippi. The aim of the alliance is to create a cooperative program to
help policymakers, planners, and coastal resource managers use the latest science
and best technologies to ensure sustainable and productive coastal habitats and
communities. As a part of this effort, CREST has grant funding available.
- The Gaylord
and Dorothy Donnelley Foundation supports efforts that create healthy human
communities and natural environments in the Chicago region and in the Lowcountry
of South Carolina. The Foundation is particularly interested in collaborative
projects focused on the environment and conservation or on arts and culture.
- The Robert B. Woodruff Foundation, Inc., named for the president of the Coca-Cola
Company, has a broad charter to support charitable, scientific, and educational
activities. Principal giving interests are focused on the following program areas:
education, health care, human services, arts and culture, the conservation of
natural resources, and environmental education. Grants
generally are limited to tax-exempt charities and selected governmental agencies
located and operating in Georgia.
- Turner Foundation, Inc. provides grants supporting four program areas within certain geographic regions, giving priority consideration to programs in New Mexico , Montana , Colorado , Nebraska , South Carolina , Georgia , and Florida . The Foundation's program areas include water and toxics, energy and transportation, habitat, and population.
