Overview

This 1.5-hour self-guided training is divided into three parts, each based on one of the tool modules. Each part contains three components: an automated tool demonstration, content explaining tool functionality, and a guided simulation that allows you to test your knowledge by running an analysis.

Note: To fully benefit from this training, you should complete all three parts in the prescribed order.

Participant Requirements

• Basic knowledge and skill with ArcGIS, attribute tables, and simple query building
• Audio capability (headphones are recommended)

Evaluation

• Evaluate the Habitat Priority Planner online training

Part 1: Habitat Classification

After completing this part, participants will be able to

• Perform a habitat classification using the Habitat Priority Planner
• Determine the appropriate analysis extent and classification scheme for their scenario

• Perform a habitat analysis using the Habitat Priority Planner
• Contrast the functions of landscape and custom analyses
• Create and interpret a Habitat Priority Planner Analysis Report

After completing this part, participants will be able to

• Create habitat selections using the Query Builder
• Create and interpret a Habitat Priority Planner Data Explorer report
