Overview
The U.S. Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) mapping tool is an online application designed to help users visualize MPA boundaries and provide access to MPA Inventory data. This mapping tool provides data on over 1,600 MPAs nationwide, offering easy access to spatial boundaries, conservation-based classification data, and site management information. Managers, scientists, and the public will find a detailed picture of the type, abundance, and distribution of MPAs throughout the U.S, gaining an increased understanding and technical capacity for ocean resource protection, management, and stewardship.
