  • Users can analyze and download socioeconomic data within the following administrative and natural boundaries: blocks (in coastal zone areas); block groups; counties (coastal and non-coastal); states; divisions; regions; places; voting districts; zip code tabulation areas; NOAA's Coastal Assessment Framework (i.e., estuarine drainage areas); and U.S. Geological Survey watersheds (i.e., eight-digit hydrologic cataloging unit).
  • Dynamic Summary Profile Reports can be produced from a user-defined area of interest.
  • Several assessment reports with focus on coastal areas are offered using both the information provided on the website and other data or ancillary materials.
  • A Mapping Census 2000 Tool allows users to view several census geographical areas and provides Census 2000 data with more variables than what is offered in the trends database.
