- Distributed in geographic coordinates in units of decimal degrees, and in conformance with the North American Datum of 1983 (NAD 83). All elevation values are provided in units of meters, and are referenced to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD 88) over the conterminous United States. The vertical reference will vary in other areas.
- Free downloads for up to 250 megabyte increments
- User can define an area of interest by drawing a box, defining coordinates, or using available templates to cut out the area
Notes and Limitations: Coverage attributes vary from location to location with some areas using data from high-resolution data sets and others using coarser information. This data should not be used for critical applications without a full awareness of its limitations.
