Coastal Storms Program
The frequency and intensity of coastal storms, according to the best predictions, will multiply. With each passing storm, increasing water levels will allow storm surge to reach farther inland, leading to greater impacts and damage.
The Coastal Storms Program (CSP) is a networked program with partnerships
and working relationships in 5 of the 6 major line offices within NOAA
and other federal, state and local organizations designed to increase
the resiliency of coastal communities from coastal storm impacts. Products
developed through collaborations by the CSP team range from community
risk and vulnerability assessments, improved weather forecasting and
observations to increased integration and outreach of existing tools
and service in an area.
To get information on existing products and services:

- click a region on the map to the right or
- use the Quick Search Tool to the right to find specific efforts developed within the regions.
