Topographic Change Mapping
Sample Results from LDART: Bin Method ComparisonBin Method Comparison | Bin Method Differences | Filled versus Nonfilled | Raw Point Data | GeoTiff Example | Elevation Contours The images below are sample results from LDART using various bin method options. The images are color-coded by elevation as identified in the color bar to the right of the images. The lowest elevations are the darkest blue, the highest are dark red, and cells without known elevation values are white. Elevations range between -2 to 50 meters (referenced to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988, or NAVD88). The greatest variation in the different bin methods is visible in areas of vegetation and around the edges of buildings. The area shown is in the vicinity of Singleton Swash at the north end of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The data were collected during the October 1, 1997, LIDAR survey. The data were binned using a 2-meter cell size.
