Remote Sensing for Spatial AnalystsDescription of CourseThis two-day course offers spatial analysts an opportunity to understand the basics of remote sensing techniques by providing them with hands-on computer training. By the end of the course, participants should be able to
Students are presented with management scenarios and will use remote sensing, in combination with spatial data, to investigate issues such as land cover and use, shoreline erosion, and fisheries and benthic habitat assessment. Students should have a mastery of basic GIS skills before attending this class. All hands-on GIS exercises will utilize ArcGIS software. PrerequisitesFamiliarity with ArcGIS is required. Classes are limited to current Center partners from the non-profit, local, state, and federal government sectors.
