Nadir

A single point, or locus of points on the surface of the Earth directly below a sensor as it progresses along its line of flight. Nadir can be both a point and a line.

Off-Nadir

Any point that is not directly below a sensor, but off to an angle (89° to 60° angle) in any direction.
