Description

A C-CAP land cover analysis was conducted by personnel at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science using Landsat Thematic Mapper imagery (Path 15, Row 34) from July 14, 1997. The study area encompasses the lower Chesapeake Bay Tidewater area of Virginia, including Fredricksburg, Richmond, Williamsburg, and Norfolk.

A descriptive summary of this data set is available in Portable Document Format (PDF). The summary includes a report of the dominant land covers and a tabular summary of the 1997 land cover data set.
