Description

The geographic elements for the Hawaii poster include Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper cloud-reduced composite imagery for each of the main eight Hawaiian Islands and a bathymetric layer derived from multiple sources.

The poster elements are downloaded as a compressed (.zip) file containing the georeferenced ERDAS® Imagine® Image files (.img) and Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC)-compliant metadata.

To download the poster elements, click on the link below, and fill out the "Support Information Request" form. You are required to register an e-mail address before downloading the poster elements. The address will only be used for notification of updates or problems.

The poster elements are Imagine files and can be directly opened and viewed using ERDAS Imagine software. The island imagery are three-band synthetic color transform files at 30-meter resolution. The bathymetry image is a single band at 100-meter resolution. Displayed as a pseudocolor layer in Imagine, the blue shading should be darker with depth. The projection is Universal Transverse Mercator, zone 4 north, North American Datum 1983. More information can be found in the metadata.

The poster elements can be viewed in ESRI® ArcView® as Imagine files. To view data in ArcView, select File > Extension > Imagine Support and then add the image to the view.
