The C-CAP Data Handler will not work with the ArcView 3.2a patch.
To find out if you have the 3.2a patch installed on your machine, go to the Help pull-down menu in Environmental Systems Research Institute's (ESRI®) ArcView® software. Select About ArcView from the list of options. An About ArcView window opens that identifies the version of ArcView installed. If it says "ArcView GIS 3.2a," then you have the patch, and the C-CAP Data Handler will have limited capabilities.
If you have the patch installed, you will not be able to convert a C-CAP image file to a grid. However, if you convert the newly standardized C-CAP data to a grid (retaining original attributes) and open the grid in ArcView, you will have access to all the remaining C-CAP Data Handler functionality.
A more drastic option is to uninstall ArcView 3.2a, and reinstall ArcView 3x without the 3.2a patch. However, if you uninstall ArcView 3.2a, you will NOT be able to use ArcView project files created with the 3.2a patch that utilize ERDAS® Imagine® files (*.img). In addition, you may lose additional extensions and temporary files because to successfully uninstall the 3.2a patch, you must erase all related directories containing ArcView. Contact your computer administrator for more information.
