Gymnodinium breve Events in 1998-1999

Very low concentrations of Gymnodinium breve were observed at some sites in southwest Florida beginning in late October. By late November the annual bloom had initiated, reaching its peak in early January, 1999. The bloom persisted through February, with very low concentrations persisting at some sites through June.
