Coastal Observing Systems (COTS) Fall 04 Workshop

A workshop for all recipients of NOAA’s Coastal Observation Technology System (COTS) awards is scheduled for 16 and 17 November 2004 at the Coastal Services Center in Charleston, SC. The three primary goals for the workshop are to 1) Discuss the strategic outlook for COTS and IOOS; 2) Review guidance for FY05 proposal preparation; 3) Enhance the coordination, especially data integration, among recipients and other collaborators

There will also be discussion on the Data Management and Communications (DMAC) Committee guidance document, how COTS partners’ data can be made available via appropriate portals, as well as how to move ahead with the data portal that was initiated at the “interoperability” forum in DC last fall (www.openioos.org).
