This section reviews the terminology common to collaborative processes. It also includes several quizzes to reinforce your understanding of the different groups and roles involved in the process.

Managing Conflict

The section on Managing Conflict first discusses the nature of conflict and the five primary areas of disagreement within groups of people. Then, by filling out an on-line quiz, you will get to see how you tend to respond to conflict. This knowledge can help you better understand the role you play in collaborative processes, and areas for improvement.

Meeting Management Overview

This section of the course looks at the two categories of tasks for managing meetings: Process and Logistical. Several quizzes help you see whether you are more inclined to be involved in group process tasks, or group maintenance tasks.

Introduction to Problem Solving

Introduction to Problem Solving covers a basic three-step process for solving problems. It also introduces you to the concept of a spectrum of processses going from least collaborative to most collaborative.
