Introduction

Your success as an interviewer is reliant upon your ability to ask the correct question at the correct time. Different questions work to evoke responses. A good idea is to brainstorm a list of questions first, then refine them afterwards.



	Brainstorming a List of Questions Usually our first question is too broad ex. "How does the media affect the public's view of marine protected areas?" It helps to focus questions ex. "What are the roles of media in shaping the public's perception of marine protected areas in California?" More specific questions ex. "How much did the public rely on the press to make its decisions?" ex. "How does the media portray marine protected areas?"
