Survival Skills for Coastal Resource Managers

	Reference Help When using the reference portion of the Survival Skills for Coastal Resource Managers course, navigation through different topics is accomplished using the menu structure on the left side of the screen. The left side of the screen contains a Table of Contents, Index, and Search function. From the Table of Contents tab: Click once on a book to reveal its contents. Click on a topic to display the information on the right side of the screen. From the Index tab: Click on a topic to display the information on the right side of the screen. From the Search tab: Click once in the text field at the top of the Search panel. Type in your search term. Click the Display button or press the Enter key on the keyboard. Results matching your query will be displayed below. Click on a topic to display the information on the right side of the screen. Browser Compatibility and Functions The reference section has been designed to be compatible with Netscape Navigator 3.0 or better, Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or better, and Opera 3.0 or better. However, not all features will work exactly the same nor appear the same on all browsers. The Table of Contents and Search features require both Javascript and Java to be enabled. Learning Module Help The learning modules are designed with their own navigation system. This system is located at the upper portion of each page and consists of the following buttons: Help: Opens a new browser window and displays this page. Links: Opens a new browser window and displays a page of hyperlinks for relevant information on coastal management and wetlands mitigation. Reference: Opens a new browser window that contains the online reference. This reference contains information about the CZMA, other Federal legislation affecting the coastal zone, non-government organizations which are stakeholders in the coastal zone, and regional and interagency organization and programs. The materials in the reference complement the materials in the learning modules. Home: Returns you the main menu for selecting different sections of the training module. Back: Returns to the previously viewed page within a section of the training module. If clicked at the beginning of a section, this button returns you to the main menu. Next: Advances to the next page within a section of the training module. If clicked at the end of a section, this button returns you to the main menu. Browser Compatibility and Functions The learning modules have been designed to be compatible with Netscape Navigator 3.0 or better, Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or better, and Opera 3.0 or better, AOL, and WebTV. However, not all features will work exactly the same nor appear the same on all browsers. Please be sure that the browser being used has Javascript enabled and images enabled for maximum compatibility.
