| This map shows the 10 percent probability of inland penetration of the sea breeze circulation system for South Carolina. This probability is based on the use of satellite imagery in conjunction with wind, temperature, and humidity observations collected at the Charleston and Myrtle Beach airports from April 2003 to July 2005. The probability was developed by North Carolina State University as part of the NOAA Cooperative Agreement for Climate and Weather Impacts on Society and the Environment (CWISE). |
