Figure 5. Johnsons seagrass (Halophylla johnsoni), a federally-listed threatened species marine species, occurs in an area impacted by a recently proposed beach nourishment project in Florida. The presence of this species and potential impacts were carefully documented and studied during the preparation of the environmental impact statement (SOURCE: USEPA 1998a ).
