{South Beach Fly-Through}

{South Beach Fly-through Animation}

This animation is a virtual fly-through of a South Beach, Oregon, aerial photograph draped over a digital elevation model derived from the spring 1998 LIDAR survey. The animation was created using the 3-D surface tools provided in Research Systems, Inc. ENVIŽ software. The fly-through begins at the north end of the beach and continues south along the ocean side of the primary dune, maintaining a constant elevation above the beach surface. The camera is looking straight ahead throughout the fly-through. The land/water interface can be glimpsed to the right of the scene. The static image to the left of the animation provides a top-down view of the beach with the red line representing the flight path of the fly-through.
