About the NOAA Coastal Services Center

Organizational Chart

The top level of the Center's organizational chart is the Director's Office, headed by Margaret Davidson (Director). Margaret is currently on detail as the Acting Director of NOAA’s Office of Coastal and Ocean Resource Management. During this detail, Jeff Payne is the Acting Director and Paul Scholz is the Acting Deputy Director.

The second level is made up of five divisions: Coastal Management Services, Coastal Information and Application Services, Coastal Geospatial Services, Management and Budget, and Regional Services.

The Coastal Management Services Division, headed by Ginger Hinchcliff (Division Chief), is comprised of Coastal Learning Services (headed by Mary Culver, acting), Communications (headed by Donna McCaskill), and Human Dimensions (headed by Tricia Ryan).

The Coastal Information and Application Services Division, headed by Tony LaVoi (Division Chief), is comprised of Application and Data Services (headed by Jim Boyd) and Information Technology (headed by Vickie Forrest).

The Geospatial Services Division, headed by Miki Schmidt (Division Chief), is comprised of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Integration and Development (headed by Cindy Fowler) and Coastal Remote Sensing (headed by Kirk Waters).

The Management and Budget Division, headed by Keelin Kuipers (acting Division Chief), is comprised of Finance (acting head David Porter), Planning and Policy Analysis (acting head Kim Texeira), and Acquisition and Facilities (headed by Renee Shaw).

The Regional Coastal Services Division, under the leadership of Becky Smyth (Division Chief), is comprised of a Regional Program (headed by Russell Jackson) and coordinates with the Pacific Services Center (acting head Kristina Kekuewa), and Gulf Coast Services Center (headed by Todd Davison).
