Coastal Management Services Division Chief
Ginger Hinchcliff
Ginger Hinchcliff has been working in coastal management for the past 25 years. She joined the NOAA Coastal Services Center in 1999 and currently serves as the division chief for Coastal Management Services. Coastal Management Services links the ocean and coastal resource management community with information, products, and services that focus on the social science component of coastal management.
Before her current position, Hinchcliff served as manager of the Center’s Coastal Learning Services program and director for the National Marine Protected Areas Center Training and Technical Assistance Institute. Before coming to NOAA, she worked with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection as the education and coastal training coordinator for the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve. She also worked for the National Park Service and has taught marine biology and coastal ecology at environmental education facilities in Florida and South Carolina.
Hinchcliff holds a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University in recreation and parks with a minor in marine sciences and a graduate degree from Florida Gulf Coast University in instruction and adult learning.
